Be calm and move to a place of safety

Record details of

• The accident - date, time, location, weather conditions, visability
• The other car(s) involved - make/model, colour, registration number
• The other driver - Name, Address, telephone number, insurer
• Any witnesses - Name, address, telephone number
• Police presence - Statements taken? Drivers cautioned?

If possible take pictures of the collision and any damage to your vehicle or sketch a map of the scene of the accident.
