Jaguar Land Rover doubles advanced engineering and design centre footprint
In the past five years, Jaguar Land Rover has tripled its turnover – and more than doubled both its sales and its workforce. Going from strength to strength, Jaguar Land Rover have become a fine example of British manufacturing success.
Jaguar Land Rover are the UK’s leading manufacturer of premium luxury vehicles. Set to expand its advanced engineering and design centre at Whitley, Coventry, Jaguar Land Rover are doubling their footprint at the location.
The multi-million pound development by Jaguar Land Rover will house highly-skilled product development engineers, supporting the company’s creation of high technology ultra-low emission vehicles for its customers in 180 markets from around the world.
Jaguar Land Rover have also announced the finalisation of its purchase of an additional 62 acres at Whitley which more than doubles the current 55-acre site and adding an area equivalent to the size of over 30 football pitches.

The development of the new National Automotive Innovation Centre will complement Jaguar Land Rover's product research and development centres in Gaydon and Whitley. While the NAIC will become the hub for our advanced research teams, Gaydon and Whitley will continue to be Jaguar Land Rover's centres of excellence for engineering and product development.
