Land Rover celebrates Hibernot with celebrity guests
Celebrity chef James Martin and Pixie Lott have treated the North of England to a wonderful winter feast as part of Land Rover’s #Hibernot campaign - a campaign which encourages families and friends to enjoy the hidden delights of winter.
250 lucky guests joined Land Rover on Saturday for a private Winter BBQ in the scenic surrounds of Broughton Hall in North Yorkshire.
Guests were treated to a surprise acoustic gig by singer and Strictly Come Dancing star Pixie Lott – who performed a selection of her most famous tunes in the bespoke, outdoor setting.
Well know car fan and TV chef, James Martin, was happy to join the festivities and prove that despite the bad weather anyone can enjoy Britain’s wonderful countryside.
A specially designed winter BBQ menu was developed and cooked live by Martin himself – the James Martin ‘Land Rover’ burger was joined on the gourmet menu by ‘Smokey Mutton Subs’ with crispy lamb breast, chargrilled pineapple with black pepper, rum and maple syrup and a number of other tasty treats.
James Martin said, “Barbecuing is one of my favourite types of cooking. It’s simple, it’s easy and it’s fresh but people would be silly to think it’s only for the summer. As long as you wrap-up warm, you can make some cracking winter dishes on a BBQ!”
Adding, “Why not spin the stereotypical Australian beach BBQ on its head and have one in God’s own country. Yorkshire, in winter? It’s been muddy but a lot of fun!”
UK Marketing Director Laura Schwab at Land Rover, said, ““Hibernate? At Land Rover we say ‘Hiber-not’! We’re embracing winter and encouraging people to get outside and enjoy Britain in the colder months. What better way to finish January than with a celebration of the great outdoors?”
