Land Rover delivers Beatles-inspired Evoque to the lineup
A newly distinguished Beatles-inspired Range Rover Evoque has recently been unveiled at the Montreal International Auto Show.
The 'Inspired by Britain' SUV range has been named as the Evoque NW8, based on the iconic North West London Postcode that's been the heart of the city's creative scene since the 60s.
Gerry McGovern, Land Rovers design director and chief creative officer has said "Our customers love to personalise their vehicles to reflect their own characters and the Evoque NW8 provides another opportunity for them to make a statement."
The dynamic model is made up of iconic features designed to pay tribute to Abbey Road Studios, which will have set colours including the existing SW1 Monochrome and SW1 Colour special editions. "Its bold combination of colors makes it the most individual of our 'inspired by Britain' special editions." McGovern added.
Darkened headlights and foglamps, deep black grille, wing vents and bumper inserts all highlight the Evoque's aim for exceptional style with full functionality. Plus with the choice of Taurus leather Ebony seats with Pimento perforated inserts or Ebony seats with perforated Ebony inserts, the NW8 is definitely in a league of its own.
Inside, the NW8 comes with unique embroidered headrests, Red Drive Selector and "flappy paddles", and a white gearlever with red graphics for manual models.
Luxuriously finished in an all exclusive Fuji White paintwork with a unique Firenze Red contrast roof, matching red door mirror caps and Black 20-inch alloys, the Beatle-inspired SUV is certainly not one to go unseen.
Land Rover has taken inspiration from the famous zebra crossing at Abbey road for their new graphics that will attempt to define the SUV from the rest of the range, this logo will feature within the treadplates, seat tags and the key fob.
What with it being an addition to the sport version of the Range Rover Evoque, the NW8 is more than likely to feature the 2.0 litre 187bhp engine that achieves 49.6mpg with 149g/km of CO emissions.
However, only 1,000 Evoque NW8s will be produce to remain its exclusivity. No release date has yet been given, although we can expect the demand to be high for the iconic SUV.
