The Discovery Sport is one of the most versatile SUV models on the market, as the seven-seat layout can be chopped and changed to suit your needs, while possessing the same off-roading abilities of some of the more senior models in the Land Rover range.
Now, Land Rover is introducing a new trim level to make the Discovery Sport more affordable while maintaining the quality of the high-end fitting options.
The Pure special edition trim is described as 'the perfect introduction to the Discovery family' and it's very easy to see why, thanks to its striking appearance with standard options. Fitted with privacy glass, front fog lamps and rear parking aid, along with plenty of other assistance systems, the Pure trim is a great option in the mid-size SUV market.
Coming with autonomous emergency braking, pedestrian protect system and lane departure warning as standard, it also comes with the useful InControl infotainment touchscreen system with an enhanced speaker system.
In Pure trim, the Discovery Sport is only available with the 2.0-litre TD4 diesel unit with 150bhp and a combined mpg of 57.7. This offers a 0-60mph time of 11 seconds and a top speed of 112mph. The Discovery Sport Pure special edition is available from £28,995 and is now the cheapest model in the range.
